As the Director of Operations, Stephanie is a member of the Possibility Lab management team and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the lab, including finance, human resources, grants and contract management, purchasing and general administrative operations.
Prior to joining the Possibility Lab, Stephanie mostly worked in local government including the City of Oakland and the Town of Moraga. As a public servant, she demonstrated a commitment to fiscal responsibility, advancing racial equity, improving government effectiveness and efficiency, and community access to government services. In Oakland, she is credited for broadening community engagement and access and shepherding data-driven decision-making through implementing new technologies. In Moraga, she transformed the community trust in financial management by implementing long-term financial sustainability solutions, including the city’s first five-year financial plan, comprehensive annual financial report that received national recognition, and helping the city achieve a 50% General Fund reserve.
Stephanie has a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Columbia University and a B.A. in psychology from UC San Diego. When Stephanie is not checking off items on her To Do list (and she does love her To Do lists), you can find her on the Pickleball courts, cycling on Skyline Blvd, or hiking in the redwoods with Wasabi and Georgie, her favorite canines. She and her family are proud to call Oakland home and have lived there since 1991.
